The RUGGEDCOM RS910 is a utility-grade, serial device server with an integrated, fully managed Ethernet switch, designed to operate reliably in electrically harsh and climatically demanding environments.The RS910 is able to interconnect multiple types of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) that have different methods of communication. Using the RS910 results in fewer connectivity devices, reducing overall system costs, and also extends the useful life of existing legacy IEDs, minimizing capital expenditure for new equipment.
