The GE MiCOM Agile P24x relays offer comprehensive motor protection, control and monitoring for both induction and synchronous motors with up to 10 RTD inputs. The relays provide enhanced diagnostics and fault analysis, optimised machine thermal image monitoring and customized thermal curves to match more closely with the machine withstand limits.

  • GE is proud to announce the release of IEC 61850 Edition 2 in the MiCOM P241/P242/P243 motor management family. Following the release of GE branding and the new USB engineering port, the new firmware released as SW 70 pushes the envelope further. The P24x relays offer comprehensive motor protection, control and monitoring for both induction and synchronous motors with up to 10 RTD inputs.P24x SW70 also supports a new Ethernet module. This new module supports PRP, HSR and RSTP in the same order option, allowing a single P40 model to be used in applications requiring redundant Ethernet communications.
  • This new module is designed to handle high density traffic in IEC 61850-8-1 networks, with time latency halved, thanks to refined filtering and greater bandwidth availability. Larger architectures can also be supported, with up to 50 nodes now possible in HSR rings.
